 Title I - Parent Involvement Page

      The Plainsburg Union Elementary School District Board of Trustees solicits parent involvement strategies for Title I students within the school.  Interest parents are encouraged to contact the Plainsburg Superintendent,  Kristi Kingston, to get a copy of the Board Policy (BP6020) and Administrative Regulation  (AR 6020) and make comments about Parent Involvement in the Plainsburg Elementary School District.  For a complete copy of the board policy and administrative regulation, please contact the school.

The policy states:

1.  Parents have the right to participate in the development of the Title I plan for Plainsburg Elementary School.

2. The school administration will communicate to the parents of Plainsburg School by information posted on our web site, flyers sent home, parent teacher meetings, school site council meetings, conferences and school board meetings. 

3. The school will provide a master calendar of school activities. 

4. Help parents find additional resources to help their children.  Direct parents to outside agencies if warranted. 

Plainsburg parents can get involved in Plainsburg Elementary School by:

1.  Participating in our Parent/Teacher organization.

2.  Participating in our School Site Council.

3.  Volunteer to work in a class, library and/or coach a sport.

4.  Attend our Back To School event and/or Fall Festival.

5.  Attend parent conferences. 

6.  Attend our School Board Meetings.
